Legends and history in the Navarrese Pyrenees
Ernesto Hemingway and the high road or Napoleon's route will be the main threads of this spectacular tour through the central part of the Navarre Pyrenees.
Aezkoa Valley, Irati forest, Orbaizeta arms and munitions factory, Organbidea cromlech, Arpea cave, Urkullu tower ........... These will be some of the lesser known among the many we will visit.
Many legends and historical facts that we will know as the Belgian Zero network created by Charles Schepens with the help of the shepherd of Mendive Jean Sarochar managed to save more than 100 persecuted by the Reich using these hidden routes between the low Navarre and the valley of Aezkoa with the cover and shelter provided by the forest of Irati.
