Amaiur, located on the Camino de Santiago de Baztan, was the last bastion of the Kingdom of Navarre and you can visit the remains of the castle that defended it. At the entrance to the village is the corn flour mill, which you can visit and taste the "talo", corn cake that for centuries has been the staple diet of the inhabitants of Atlantic Navarre. Or taste a local craft beer. You can also venture into the "Street Escape" of the hidden treasure and in a short and pleasant walk, see large palatial houses, tower-houses and the peculiar semicircular arch located at the entrance of the village.
If you come with children, next to the hostel there is a playground and the covered municipal fronton.
And, if you still want more, we invite you to walk around Amaiur, through its forests of oak and chestnut trees, between green meadows and streams that give rise to the river Baztan, later converted into Bidasoa.
