Tour Señorío de Otazu
The "Señorío de Otazu" tour lasts approximately 180 minutes through the winery, recognized in October 2020 as "Best winery open to tourism" by ACEVIN.
It includes a walk through the historic Señorío de Otazu dating from the Middle Ages, which consists of a 12th century Romanesque church, a 14th century dovecote tower and the 16th century palace. In its gardens you can appreciate a collection of sculptures by internationally renowned artists, some of which have been designed especially for these spaces. Next, we visit the old winery, converted into a historical museum and contemporary art space of the Otazu Foundation, which was awarded the "A" Prize for Collecting 2020, granted by the ARCO Foundation.
The tour continues in the new facilities of the winery, where the subway barrel room designed by Jaime Gaztelu, known as the Cathedral of Wine, an international architectural reference, stands out.
The visit ends with a tasting of three wines, each paired with an elaborate pintxo.
